Senior Manager - Planning & Design - SPA176

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager - Planning & Design for one of our major sports prgrammes. This strategic role involves leading the planning and design efforts to deliver world-class sports facilities and infrastructure that will support the successful hosting of major sporting events and enhance Qiddiya's position as a premier entertainment and sports destination.

The Senior Manager will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, oversee the design process, and ensure that all planning and design activities meet the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and innovation. The role requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to align project objectives with broader organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the planning and design activities for sports venues and related infrastructure.
• Develop and implement comprehensive design strategies ensuring alignment with the event requirements and Qiddiya’s master plan.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to deliver integrated and innovative design solutions.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, sustainability practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee project timelines and budget adherence related to planning and design disciplines.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to planning and design teams.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices in sports venue design and integrate relevant innovations.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in planning and design management, preferably in large-scale sports or entertainment projects.
• Proven expertise in leading complex multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality design outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of sustainable design principles and international standards in sports venue development.
• Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a commitment to fostering team development and collaboration.
