About the Role
As our Senior Manager, Organic Growth & CRO, you will drive how prospects discover, engage with, and convert on our digital presence. You will own the full conversion rate optimization (CRO) function — from experiment design and A/B testing to funnel diagnostics and tracking infrastructure — while also leading our organic search strategy (SEO) and answer engine optimization (AEO). This is an opportunity to build a rigorous, data-driven practice that directly impacts Neon One's growth and our mission to help nonprofits grow. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, you will work closely with our marketing website developer and content manager, collaborating on implementation where needed while owning strategy and reporting across all three functions.
Responsibilities
CRO Strategy & Experimentation
• Own and maintain the CRO A/B testing roadmap, prioritizing experiments based on impact, confidence, and effort.
• Design rigorous experiments — from hypothesis formation and test design to statistical analysis and post-test documentation.
• Perform deep funnel diagnostics to identify friction, drop-off points, and conversion opportunities across the buyer journey.
• Develop and refine buying-stage signal instrumentation to better understand intent and behavioral patterns at each stage of the funnel.
• Optimize conversion points across landing pages, CTAs, forms, and key website flows in close collaboration with the marketing website developer.
SEO & AEO/GEO
• Own the full SEO strategy — including technical SEO, on-page optimization, content structure, internal linking, and organic performance reporting, working with the content manager.
• Lead AEO strategy to continue to grow our visibility across emerging platforms including ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude.
• Design and implement schema and structured data to improve visibility in rich results, knowledge panels, and AI-generated answers.
• Develop and execute an AI answer engine strategy to ensure Neon One's brand and products are accurately represented in LLM-powered search experiences.
• Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and content gap analysis to identify organic growth opportunities.
• Report on and connect SEO/AEO outcomes to pipeline contribution.
• Collaborate with the marketing website developer on technical SEO implementations (site speed, crawlability, structured data, redirects) — coordinating directly when needed and routing through the developer for larger site changes.
Tracking & Data
• Own the tracking plan and ensure consistent, accurate implementation of events across the website and campaigns.
• Architect and maintain the GTM / data layer, working directly with the marketing website developer to implement and QA tracking changes.
• Ensure data integrity and completeness to support reliable reporting and downstream analysis.
• Monitor data pipelines to flag and resolve tracking issues proactively.
• Leverage analytics tools to model funnel performance, uncover insights from visitor behavior, and identify high-leverage optimization opportunities.
• Monitor conversion data to ensure high-quality lead flow and support smooth handoff to the sales team.
Must Haves
• 6+ years of overall experience in marketing or analytics, with at least 3 years spanning CRO, SEO, or AEO in a dedicated ownership role.
• Hands-on experience designing and running A/B and multivariate tests using tools such as Crazy Egg, VWO, Optimizely, or similar platforms.
• Strong command of GTM / data layer architecture and tracking plan governance.
• Experience designing event taxonomies and implementing analytics tracking (GA4, Segment, or similar).
• Proven SEO expertise, technical SEO, on-page optimization, and organic performance reporting.
• Experience with AEO/GEO across schema/structured data, featured snippet optimization, AI answer engine optimization, and voice search.
• Proficiency with web analytics platforms (GA4, Heap, Hotjar, etc.) and the ability to build reports and derive insights independently.
• Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools like Salesforce and Pardot preferred.
• Track record of improving funnel performance with measurable, quantifiable results.
• Self-motivated; must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with autonomy while collaborating closely with technical teammates.
• Experience leveraging AI and automation tools to improve experimentation efficiency and analysis.
• Preferred experience in the SMB B2B space; bonus points for fintech or nonprofit tech background.
