Job Description
Purpose
The Senior Manager, Operations Finance is responsible for serving as a strategic partner that plants leadership, drives financial performance, cost control, and operational efficiency. This role ensures accurate reporting, compliance with corporate policies, and provides actionable insights to improve profitability, reliability and sustainability.
Responsibilities
Lead plant-level budgeting and forecasting, integrating operational inputs
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for plant performance
Conduct variance analysis on production costs and operational KPIs
Maintain and monitor standard costs for products and processes
Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances; recommend corrective actions
Support annual recosting exercises and cost optimization initiatives
Partner with plant leadership to identify cost drivers, risks, and opportunities
Develop dashboards and KPIs for conversion cost, productivity, and efficiency
Perform ROI analysis for capital projects and major initiatives
Support decision-making on CapEx allocation and resource utilization
Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies and regulatory standards
Maintain strong controls around inventory and fixed assets
Support internal and external audits
Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and engineering teams to align financial goals with operational priorities
Provide financial training to plant staff on cost control and budgeting principles
Track and report greenhouse gas emissions and other sustainability metrics
Lead initiatives for process improvement, automation, and ERP optimization
Maintain a working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 1271, FDA 21 CFR 820, AATB standards, ISO Standards, cGMP/CGTP, other relevant regulations/standards, and internal organizational policies and standard operating procedures
Manage direct reports
Provide constructive feedback and guidance to develop leadership in direct reports and department management
Establish and monitor objective annual goals for direct reports
Conduct performance reviews and establish performance improvement plans as needed
Recruit, interview, and select personnel for hire
Travel domestically up to 30% to attend offsite meetings, conferences, and support business initiatives
Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality for scheduled work hours and meetings
Ensure completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities within defined timeframes
Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours during weekdays or weekends with reasonable advance notice to support business/operational needs when necessary

Qualifications/Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, from an accredited college or university required
Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field, from an accredited college or university preferred
CPA or CMA preferred
At least 5+ year(s) of experience in operations finance within a manufacturing environment or related field required
Clearance of favorable background investigation required
