The Investment Product & Communications Team at Rest are seeking an experienced Investment
Specialist to lead and drive success in the critical linkages between Rest’s investment team and its
key internal and external stakeholders. This includes operating as a subject matter expert for the
purpose of Rest’s investments, engagement, education, business development, marketing and
communications effort.
The nature of the role will reflect the skillset of the successful candidate, but key responsibilities are
expected to include:
• Driving successful positioning of Rest’s investment capabilities to support Rest’s strategic goals
• Acting as an investment leader in initiatives spanning the investment division and its stakeholders
• Strengthening relationships and collaborating successfully across Rest’s internal functions including ensuring accuracy and integrity in our investment product content and communications, ensuring investment strategy and process is accurately represented
• Leading and directing team initiatives and guiding and developing team members
• Lift the profile of Rest’s investment team as guardians of our members retirement savings
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
• Industry qualifications highly regarded
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
• Demonstrated experience in relevant areas such as research and analysis, consulting, communication and/or relationship management in the financial services/superannuation industry such as portfolio management or asset consulting.
• Proven leadership skills.
• High level of written and verbal communications skills with an ability to clearly articulate and present complex investment information in a simple and understandable form to relevant stakeholders
