Job Purpose: As the Senior Manager Content Distribution (externally known as “Head of”), you will lead the global content distribution strategy and operations for the Esports World Cup (EWC) and Esports Nations Cup (ENC). You will oversee how EWC content - including live broadcasts, highlights, and digital assets - is delivered to audiences across platforms and markets. You will manage platform partnerships, signal delivery, and content rights, ensuring seamless and high-quality distribution that maximizes global reach, audience engagement, and brand visibility.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end distribution strategy for EWC and ENC broadcasts and digital content across global platforms.

• Manage relationships with broadcast partners, streaming platforms, and distribution vendors to ensure smooth delivery and reach.

• Oversee technical signal delivery, transmission workflows, and content feeds for live and on-demand distribution.

• Coordinate with internal teams to align distribution timelines and formats.

• Ensure all distributed content meets quality, technical, and compliance standards across regions.

• Manage rights management processes, ensuring proper handling of content ownership, licensing, and territory restrictions.

• Support the negotiation and execution of distribution agreements with global and regional partners.

• Develop and maintain efficient workflows for content delivery, transcoding, and metadata management.

• Monitor distribution performance, analytics, and audience engagement to optimize reach and efficiency.

• Troubleshoot delivery issues and ensure timely resolution with technical vendors and platform operators.

• Plan and oversee redundancy, backup, and contingency measures to safeguard live transmissions.

• Maintain documentation of distribution processes, technical specs, and broadcast delivery plans.

• Support the Director in budgeting, vendor management, and long-term distribution strategy planning.

Education and Experience

• 8+ years of experience in broadcast or digital media distribution, preferably within esports, sports, or live entertainment. Strong preference for having worked with digital platforms (like YouTube, Twitch etc)

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in media technology, content distribution, or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proven track record of managing global distribution and transmission workflows.

• Strong understanding of live broadcast delivery, streaming technologies, and OTT platforms.

• Experience managing relationships with broadcasters, streaming partners, and technology vendors.

• Solid technical knowledge of transmission standards, signal routing, and content encoding.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a focus on precision and reliability.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to manage issues in live environments.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and international setting.

• Knowledge of rights management systems and metadata workflows.

• Familiarity with esports or live event production environments.
