The Applications and Architecture Manager Federal Systems is responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of Deltek Costpoint accounting software to support Client Federal Systems
Role Description
• ERP Design and Operations
• Possesses in-depth Costpoint and Time & Expense product knowledge and a strong technical aptitude to provide support to the business
• Understands the full spectrum of Costpoint Modules and how they interact and integrate with each other including; general ledger, project ledger, revenue, projects, labor, procurement planning, purchasing, receiving, sales order, AP, AR, cost pools, system configuration, processing, and integrations.
• Applies analytical and technical thinking. Identifies and implements solutions to both routine and complex challenges and issues.
• Analyzes and responds to technical issues including the analysis of the Costpoint environments with a heavy emphasis on SQL scripting to identify and resolve data-related issues.
• Good knowledge of the table structures within Deltek Costpoint, and an understanding of how the tables interact with each other and the system as a whole.
• Proactively assumes responsibility for learning new products and maintains outstanding knowledge of relevant software applications.
• Business Liaison
• Acts as a trusted advisor by working closely with the business to understand and anticipate their needs.
• Uses a high degree of insight, research, and analytical skills, to develop new or enhanced methods and techniques to resolve problems and improve the operations of the ERP.
• Identifies alternative resolutions, identifies and communicates risk factors to the business and provides implementation recommendations.
• Contributes to the overall planning of projects by recommending approaches, identifies consulting skill set requirements, and develops timelines.
• Leverages life cycle implementation experience to anticipate changes required in project plans and processes.
• Takes initiative to achieve value-added results and improve upon existing solutions.
• Subject Matter Expert
• Mentors and trains technical and functional peers on application operations and methodologies.
• Leverages knowledge of GAAP, FAR, CAS, and DCAA guidelines to ensure the system is configured and operated in a manner that is compliant.
Skills
• 5-10 years of accounting and/or systems related experience required
• Strong Oracle PL-SQL skills for troubleshooting Costpoint
• Strong customer service orientation; be able to maintain a professional demeanor, and work under pressure to handle critical issues in timely manner
• Strong verbal and written communications skills required; must effectively communicate the scope of work and technical findings or recommendations to a non-technical audience
• Works under minimal supervision. May lead small work teams on projects
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required
