About the Role:

Here at Confluent, we’re building a streaming platform that’s changing the way people access and use data in real-time. We’re seeking a versatile, strong design leader who loves problem solving, has a great eye for design, and is excited to lead strategic design efforts.

What You Will Do:

• Guide, mentor and grow our team of designers in India

• Use design to make our data streaming technology easy to understand and use.

• Contribute to our product strategy with a keen understanding of customer goals, business goals, and our platform capabilities.

• Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into simple, useful, elegant solutions for our customers.

• Partner with functional groups and collaborate with designers to bring new product experiences to market, track our success, and iterate.

• Give and solicit feedback from customers and internal stakeholders.

• Continuously raise our bar for quality and polish.

What You Will Bring:

• Skilled at managing multiple product areas and guiding designers to strategically lead and support project work.

• Work closely with product managers, engineers in order to deliver customer value.

• Ability to innovate like crazy and guide designers through the toughest problems.

• Enjoys formulating strategies and building awareness and support for these strategies.

• Experienced working closely with engineers. Have a strong understanding and appreciation for technical details.

• Extreme attention to detail when it comes to the construction of UI, systematic solutions, and workflows.

• Thrives off giving and receiving feedback.

• Experience designing for technical products is a plus.

• A portfolio or link to examples showing your process, eye for aesthetics, and depth of design work along with your role in specific projects

• 10+ years working as a Product Designer and at least minimum of 5+ years experience managing design teams
