We are looking for an experienced leader with a solid IT background to lead and develop our global team in the area of Datacenter Operations Support. In this key role, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of our operational support processes for our data centers worldwide and act as the central interface to our local Datacenter Operations units.

The Datacenter Operations Support team consists of five colleagues and is responsible for all support processes for the highly available, sustainable, and cost-optimized operation of our data centers worldwide. Our goal is to continuously improve the technical, organizational, and regulatory framework—always in close cooperation with the local teams on site.

Tasks

• Technical and disciplinary management of the Data Center Operations Support Team.

• Responsibility for the availability, operation, and continuous optimization of our monitoring systems, in particular to ensure alarm chains and certification requirements.

• Ensuring and further developing the visualization of critical data center infrastructures (power supply, cooling, refrigeration technology, UPS, etc.).

• Control and further development of global support processes for our data center landscape.

• Close cooperation with internal IT and software teams for IT, software, and network issues, as well as external service providers.

• Operational and strategic control of our co-location management, including:

• Access control and security processes

• Contract management and coordination with providers

• Space & capacity management

• Change and incident management

• Support in the implementation and documentation of certification processes (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 50001, ISO 14001, C5, IT-Grundschutz).

• Innovation: Promotion and implementation of innovative technologies and solutions for the continuous improvement of data center operations.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in the IT environment, ideally in the administration, operation, or management of data centers or complex IT infrastructures.

• Solid IT background with in-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, and IT operating processes.

• Initial management experience in an international environment.

• Good knowledge in at least one of the following areas:

• Data center infrastructure (HV, UPS, cooling, power supply)

• Technical monitoring/alarm systems

• PLC and communication protocols

• Basic understanding of network infrastructure and IT interfaces.

• Experience with ITSM processes (e.g., ITIL) is desirable.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Business fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

• Structured, solution-oriented, and team-oriented personality.

• High degree of innovation and affinity for new technologies in IT and data center operations.
