Senior Manager, Corporate Communications (Temporary)

Roblox is looking for a Senior Manager, Corporate Communications to join our in-house communications team for a 5-month temporary contract (Between March 9th through August 17th, dates may shift). In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping how our executives communicate and ensuring our corporate messaging is clear, consistent, and impactful across various internal and external channels. The role is based in our San Mateo, CA office from Tuesday to Thursday (remote Monday and Friday)

You Will:

• Strategically identify and pursue opportunities to increase the external presence of our executives, positioning them as thought leaders in key industry forums.

• Prepare executives thoroughly for high-profile public engagements, including interviews, speaking opportunities, and panel discussions, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging.

• Lead the strategic planning and execution of the corporate editorial calendar, encompassing key company announcements, product launches, and major corporate milestones.

• Oversee the development of compelling content, in close collaboration with the writing/social teams, ensuring a unified corporate messaging strategy across all key company initiatives.

• Develop and implement robust media training programs for Roblox executives to enhance their public speaking and media engagement skills.

• Provide proactive and reactive crisis communications support for non-safety related corporate issues, helping to manage and mitigate reputational risks.

• Assist with the development and dissemination of quarterly earnings communications, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial reporting.

• Partner with internal teams, such as People and Systems, to provide strategic communications counsel and support for initiatives, including company principles, compensation, and the general corporate brand.

You Have:

• 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, executive communications, or a related field, preferably within a fast-paced technology or entertainment company.

• Proven experience developing and executing executive communications strategies, including media training and thought leadership.

• Strong understanding of strategic content development and editorial calendar management.

• Experience in supporting crisis communications efforts

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling narratives.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence, and advise senior executives and cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, a related field, or equivalent experience.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual hourly rate could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Please note that not all benefits on this page are applicable to this hourly position.

$109.34—$126.57 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
