About the Role:

Responsibilities::
• AI/ML Development & Implementation
• Provide senior technical leadership across AI/ML and GenAI initiatives, influencing architecture, design, and delivery.
• Mentor and technically guide a team of ML/GenAI engineers and data engineers.
• Define the architecture for machine learning and GenAI solutions across products and platforms.
• Act as a hands-on delivery leader—driving requirements gathering, solution design, model development, coding, and deployment of production-ready ML/GenAI solutions.
• Develop and oversee statistical models for process management of pharma and life science companies, including predictive process monitoring.
• Lead design decisions on data pipelines, model lifecycle, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Evaluate and implement GenAI-powered solutions for document understanding, semantic retrieval, knowledge management, summarization, and reasoning tasks.
• Architect and deploy LLM-powered production systems including RAG architectures, vector retrieval, evaluation frameworks, and safety controls.
• Evaluate LLM performance, hallucination patterns, safety risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Select and integrate appropriate LLM frameworks, vector databases, and orchestration tools (LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.).
• Establish guidelines for responsible GenAI usage, evaluation, and safety.

• Collaboration & Compliance
• Collaborate with product managers, quality, validation, and compliance teams to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Lead security and compliance efforts to address AI risks—including adversarial vulnerabilities, model drift, data governance, and regulatory obligations—ensuring trustworthy and compliant AI systems.

Requirement::
• Strong background in statistics and machine learning (regression, classification, time-series, Bayesian methods).
• Experience developing, deploying, and operating ML models in production environments.
• Hands-on experience building or deploying LLM-powered applications and production GenAI systems.
• Experience with RAG architectures, embeddings, vector search, and evaluation of retrieval quality.
• Experience evaluating LLM performance, safety, hallucinations, and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, HuggingFace, pandas, NumPy, SciPy.
• Familiarity with ML lifecycle management.
• Experience with cloud ML environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of model observability, data versioning, and automated retraining pipelines.

• Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years in AI/ML solution development.
• Experience in life sciences, pharma, or other regulated industries (nice to have but not required).
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with statistical process control concepts.
