As a Sr Manager, Data Science, you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with senior business stakeholders in the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) organization and other organizations within Pfizer, and play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making across the marketing organization. You will be responsible for identifying unmet need in various domains, to guide the strategic roadmap for developing new capabilities including developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing analytics strategy, marketing optimization frameworks and delivering actionable insights that inform and optimize marketing efforts.
The ideal candidate is an expert in data science with experience in marketing analytics and working in diverse and cross-functional teams, bridging the gap between data, technology, and people.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide strategic leadership in the development and execution of marketing analytics capabilities to measure and drive optimization of Pfizer's media investments via both technology and process enhancements
• Lead the development and execution of impact measurement experimentations (A/B testing, ANCOVA, Econometrics models, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align marketing analytics capabilities with broader business objectives, fostering collaboration and effective decision-making
• Lead matrixed project teams to execute analytical projects leveraging advanced analytics
• Design, develop, deploy and maintain reusable assets and custom pipelines to optimize operational efficiencies in analytics execution
Be a hands-on leader who knows how to code in Python/R/SQL and able to communicate the results to the business stakeholders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• BA/BS with 5+ years of work experience as a data scientist and project lead for a diverse range of projects
• 4 years of project and stakeholder management experience
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
• STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) majors with quantitative emphasis such as Actuarial Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, Engineering
• Expert proficiency in R, Python, Excel and analytics platforms
• Experience with the application of statistics and data science techniques such as machine learning or similar quantitative approaches to solve real-world analytical problems
• Strong understanding of marketing analytics methodologies, including data collection, analysis, and visualization.
• Experience with marketing attribution modeling and marketing mix modeling.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and concise insights for diverse audiences.
• Collaborative and results-oriented with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Industry or consulting experience, along with project management skills strongly preferred
