Boeing Canada is currently looking for a Senior Manager, Agentic AI – Enterprise AI & Data to join our team in Richmond, BC.
Provides strategic and people leadership for Boeing’s Agentic AI Center of Excellence (COE), driving the enterprise strategy, buildout, and scaling of AI-enabled process automation capabilities. Leads a team focused on identifying high-value business opportunities, conducting pilots with innovative AI and agentic AI tools, developing reusable solution patterns, and delivering measurable business outcomes. Responsible for building internal capability through hiring, coaching, and upskilling talent, while also shaping partner strategy, governance, and enterprise adoption of emerging AI technologies.
Boeing is seeking a Sr. Manager, Agentic AI to lead the creation and scaling of an Agentic AI Center of Excellence (COE). This leader will be accountable for defining the strategy, building the team, establishing the operating model, and driving execution against a portfolio of high-value AI and agentic AI use cases.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Generative AI and Agentic AI, strong people leadership, and a proven ability to lead through influence and execution in a complex enterprise environment. This role will partner closely with business leaders, technology teams, and external partners to identify opportunities, run pilots, build reusable solutions, and scale successful capabilities across Boeing.
Position Responsibilities:
AI COE Strategy and Leadership
• Establish and lead Boeing’s Agentic AI Center of Excellence as an enterprise capability.
• Define the COE mission, operating model, governance, and value delivery roadmap.
• Set priorities for use case intake, experimentation, and scaling.
• Guide the evolution of the COE across Generative AI, Agentic AI, and workflow automation.
People Leadership and Talent Development
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of AI strategists, architects, and practitioners.
• Hire, coach, mentor, and develop talent.
• Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
• Lead upskilling initiatives to grow Boeing’s internal AI capability.
Partner and Technology Strategy
• Identify and manage strategic consulting and technology partners to accelerate progress.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools, platforms, and orchestration frameworks.
• Recommend the right mix of internal capability and external support.
• Ensure solutions align with Boeing’s architecture, security, privacy, and compliance standards.
Governance, Reporting, and Thought Leadership
• Establish tracking and reporting mechanisms for COE progress, portfolio health, and business value.
• Support AI governance and prioritization forums.
• Develop points of view on enterprise AI adoption, responsible AI, and agentic operating models.
• Stay current on emerging AI trends and bring actionable insights to Boeing leadership.
Core Responsibilities
• Lead the Agentic AI COE to define strategy, operating model, governance, and value delivery roadmap for enterprise AI adoption.
• Build and develop a high-performing team through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and upskilling to strengthen Boeing’s internal AI capability.
• Partner with business leaders to identify, prioritize, and shape high-value AI and agentic AI use cases that improve productivity, efficiency, and decision-making.
• Drive pilots and proofs of concept using emerging AI tools and platforms, and scale successful solutions into production-ready capabilities.
• Evaluate and manage strategic partners to accelerate delivery while balancing speed, scale, and internal capability building.
• Stay current on emerging AI technologies and trends and bring forward actionable insights to shape Boeing’s enterprise AI strategy.
• Ensure alignment with Boeing standards for architecture, security, privacy, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• 12+ years of experience in AI/ML, data platforms, advanced analytics, digital transformation, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience in a leadership role with direct people management responsibilities.
• Demonstrated success building and leading teams in a matrixed enterprise environment.
• Proven ability to translate business problems into scalable AI solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Strong expertise in Generative AI, including LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, and orchestration frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Agentic AI, including multi-agent systems, autonomous workflows, planning, and reasoning architectures.
• Experience leading pilots, prototypes, and production deployments in complex environments.
• Proven ability to build internal capability through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and upskilling.
• Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience evaluating and managing consulting and technology partners.
• Familiarity with cloud AI platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to lead through ambiguity, influence across functions, and drive execution at scale.
• Must be legally able to work in Canada.
• Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding controlled goods.
• Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, or industrial environments.
• Experience leading enterprise AI transformation or digital innovation programs.
• Exposure to AI governance, model risk management, privacy, security, and regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with emerging agent orchestration tools, autonomous workflow platforms, and enterprise copilots.
• Experience developing AI operating models, playbooks, or enterprise enablement programs.
• Track record of building new capabilities or functions from the ground up.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, or a related field.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada.

Starting salary will be based on year of post-secondary education completed, qualifications and experience.
Salary pay range - $136,000.00 - $243,000.00 CAD
