JOB ROLE SUMMARY

The primary role of the Mainframe System Security Engineer is to create, modify and maintain security access on internal and external userids and security rules access for mainframe systems. All three security products, ACF2, Top Secret and RACF are utilized for supporting mainframe system access. In addition, they will review security policies, procedures, standards, baselines and may recommend and coordinate security remediation plans involving the implementation of security solutions, both technology and procedures; while maintaining an understanding of security standards, policies and procedures

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Consistently provides proven, formal mentorship High complexity assignments - owner Moderate complexity assignments - owner (1 or >) Low complexity assignments - provide oversight/review Regularly lead self and others and/or established as Product SME and/or established as specialist Understands how whole picture aligns to overall Ensono strategy Provides thought leadership within GTS Applies professional communication skills to participate in Client meetings and new business deals. Enhances the performance of others through mentoring and guiding Provides System level security support of the different environments and security products used to secure the operating system and system components using the internal or external security system (ACF2, RACF, or TOP SECRET ) as required. Demonstrates the ability to secure and protect the Sysplex environment and the components within it. Builds and Maintains the various Tape encryption environments using industry standard infrastructures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have direct reports but may mentor less experienced associates in the role. QUALIFICATIONS Required Ten years of hands on/ industry experience Preferred Provide thought leadership within the Business unit. Provides Technical Security support for all business IT solutions. Possesses communication skills to participate in internal and external Client meetings and new business deals. Fluent with various security support products (ACF2, RACF, and Top Secret). Enhance the performance of others through mentoring and guiding Provide mentoring to lower level job roles as needed Provide planning and oversight for critical product upgrades Perform high complexity assignments with minimal guidance Ability to Plan and Coordinate Security installations as needed.
