Role Purpose: 
The M365 Copilot Expert is responsible for enabling and maximizing organizational adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot technologies, including Copilot for Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, and AI-powered productivity tools across the M365 ecosystem. The role combines deep functional knowledge of Microsoft 365 apps with prompt engineering, automation design, governance, and AI change management to drive user efficiency and business value. The Expert will work closely with functional leaders, security teams, and business users to design, deploy, and continuously improve Copilot use cases and frameworks. 
Principal Accountabilities:
• AI Use Case Enablement 
Identify, design and implement high-value Copilot use cases in Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other Microsoft 365 apps. 
• Copilot Studio Development 
Create AI copilots, plugins and extensions leveraging enterprise data and connectors, ensuring compliance and scalability. 
• Change Management & Training 
Design and deliver structured enablement programs, training content, and productivity accelerators for different user personas. 
• Governance & Security 
Collaborate with security, compliance, and data governance teams to ensure responsible deployment and usage of Generative AI capabilities. 
• Stakeholder Collaboration & User Support 
Engage with business leaders to assess needs, measure impact, and iterate solutions through analytics and feedback. 
• Monitoring, Metrics & Optimization 
Track usage analytics, model performance, user satisfaction, and business impact of Copilot features and agents; implement improvements based on insights and feedback. 
• Continuous Improvement 
Monitor new Microsoft releases, promote best practices, and drive innovation to improve productivity and automation maturity.
Key Performance Measures:
• Timely, high-quality delivery of M365 Copilot productivity solutions 
• User adoption and satisfaction levels 
• Automation efficiency and measurable business impact 
• Number of Copilot Agents deployed successfully and their sustained usage 
• Compliance with governance and security standards 
• Effectiveness of prompt engineering and data readiness initiatives
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) 
• Microsoft certifications desirable, especially within Microsoft 365 
• Additional training in AI, prompt engineering, or UX design considered an advantage
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 productivity suite and configuration 
• Proficiency with Copilot for M365, Teams, SharePoint, Azure OpenAI, and Power Platform (especially Copilot Studio) 
• Skills in prompt engineering and AI-driven workflow optimization 
• Working knowledge of data access models, information protection, and Responsible AI principles 
• Ability to articulate AI capabilities to business stakeholders 
• 3–5 years experience in M365 administration, digital workplace transformation, or business productivity consulting
