Senior Logic Design Engineer, CPU Core

The NVIDIA CPU team is a world-class, global organization united by a mission to push the boundaries of what’s possible and shape the future of computing. We are looking for a talented, fast-learning, and highly motivated Senior Logic Design Engineer to join our core team. As part of the CPU core logic design team, you will take ownership of key areas in the design of high-performance, low-power processors spanning microarchitecture definition, RTL development, logic debug, and close collaboration with architectural, verification, and physical design teams. This role offers the opportunity to have a real impact in a dynamic, technology-focused company, designing cutting-edge CPUs that power a wide range of products, while driving execution and technical direction within your domain.

What you'll be doing:

• Drive the micro-architecture definition, feasibility studies and documentation of CPU core units. 

• Implement in RTL and coordinate execution with the verification team to ensure that the design is functional. 

• Exercise logic design skills to optimize and meet performance, timing, and power targets. 

• Deliver a synthesis/timing clean design while working with the physical design team ensuring a routable and physically implementable design. 

What we need to see:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience

• 8+ years in processor or high-performance semiconductor design

• Strong RTL expertise and solid computer architecture background

• Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional collaboration in a global team

• Proven ownership and technical leadership of complex design blocks

• Track record of driving design and verification initiatives (e.g., uArch, methodology, efficiency) 

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) is a plus
