Job Summary

NXP India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Lead System Validation Engineer to join our team in Pune. This role involves leading the comprehensive validation of complex embedded systems, ensuring their robustness, performance, and adherence to specifications across various stages of development for technology, mainly Zigbee, Thread and/or Matter.

Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Lead System Validation Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

* **Lead Validation Strategy & Planning:** Define, develop, and execute comprehensive system validation strategies and test plans for NXP's cutting-edge embedded products, focusing on both hardware and software interactions.
* **Test Environment Development:** Design, set up, and maintain sophisticated test environments, including hardware platforms, software tools, and automation scripts, to facilitate efficient and thorough validation.
* **Test Case Design & Execution:** Lead the creation of detailed test cases, covering functional, performance, stress, power, and corner-case scenarios. Oversee and actively participate in the execution of these test cases.
* **Debugging & Root Cause Analysis:** Expertly debug complex system-level issues, isolating hardware, software, or integration problems. Drive root cause analysis and collaborate with design and development teams for timely resolution.
* **Automation Development:** Champion and contribute to the development and enhancement of validation automation frameworks and scripts (e.g., Python, C/C++), improving efficiency and coverage.
* **Team Leadership & Mentorship:** Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guiding them in validation methodologies, debugging techniques, and best practices. Potentially manage a small team or lead specific project validation efforts.
* **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with silicon design, software development, firmware, architecture, and applications teams to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure seamless product integration.
* **Documentation & Reporting:** Generate clear, concise, and comprehensive validation reports, defect tracking, and status updates for internal stakeholders and management.
* **Process Improvement:** Drive continuous improvement in validation methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance product quality and accelerate time-to-market.
* **Requirement Analysis:** Actively participate in requirements reviews to ensure testability and provide feedback on potential validation challenges.

Job Qualifications

* **Education:** Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
* **Experience:** 4-12 years of hands-on experience in system validation, silicon validation, or embedded software validation, preferably in the semiconductor industry.

* **Technical Expertise:**
* Strong understanding of 15.4 Zigbee, Thread &/ Matter Protocol

* Expertise in Zigbee or Thread or Matter , or combination of it related testing, it's debugging and automation.
* Hands-on experience with testing, all related test & it's analysis tools
* Familiarity with debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, Trace32/Lauterbach) and in-circuit emulators.
* Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).

* **Soft Skills:**
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
* Strong leadership capabilities and ability to mentor junior engineers.
* Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a geographically distributed team.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of driving tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment.
