As a Senior Lead Backend Engineer, you will define and drive the technical direction of backend systems while leading high-impact engineering initiatives. You will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and reliable backend platforms, mentoring engineers, and ensuring technical excellence across the team.

This role blends deep hands-on backend engineering with architectural ownership, leadership, and close collaboration with product and business stakeholders.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and evolution of backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
• Architect and implement scalable microservices and well-structured, high-performance APIs
• Establish and promote best practices in backend engineering, system design, and architecture
• Collaborate with product, operations, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals
• Drive initiatives related to CI/CD pipelines, system reliability, performance optimization, and scalability
• Review code, guide architectural decisions, and ensure high engineering standards
• Mentor and develop backend engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement

Professional Requirements & Technical Expertise

• 9+ years of experience in backend software development
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API design, and microservices architecture
• Experience working in Supply Chain, Logistics, or similar operational domains

Good to Have

• Hands-on experience with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles
• Exposure to CI/CD practices, system observability, and automation
• Awareness or experience with AI/ML integrations in backend systems
