About the Role

Gorilla Logic is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team supporting one of our U.S.-based clients in the eCommerce space. This is a hands-on technical role where you will contribute directly to the design, development, and enhancement of scalable web applications and backend services.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, help drive engineering best practices, and contribute to delivering high-quality software solutions that power critical business workflows.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain web applications, APIs, backend services, and serverless components.

Build scalable, high-quality solutions using PHP/Laravel and modern front-end frameworks.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues affecting users, partners, and internal stakeholders.

Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and maintainability.

Contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to deliver high-impact features.

Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to long-term scalability and system stability.

Define and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality-driven development processes.

Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, supporting their technical growth.

Take ownership of features and initiatives from concept through delivery.

Technical Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.

Strong experience with PHP and Laravel.

Experience building modern web applications using Vue.js (preferred).

Experience with AWS, including serverless architectures (Lambdas).

Strong understanding of API design and backend services development.

Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, DynamoDB).

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.

Solid understanding of automated testing (unit and integration testing).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the eCommerce ecosystem (Shopify preferred).

Exposure to Node.js and TypeScript.

Experience working with Kubernetes and containerized environments.

Experience practicing Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
