Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with other teams members to understand customer requirements and come up with meaningful solutions.
• Write Java Server application using Spring framework
• Define DB schema, set up MySQL DB
• Lead requirements gathering, UML or Use Case modeling, analysis and design activities
• Design, implement, deploy and test end-to-end solution. Be able to deploy production server onto Amazon or Azure cloud.
• Define REST interface for terminal application and mobile application to call
• Present and evaluate design solutions objectively and facilitate conflict resolution
• Participate in meetings & reviews with customers and team members.
• Troubleshoot potential issues at customer locations

Knowledge and Experience:

• Core Java, J2EE, JDBC, XML, XSD, JSP and Web Services
• DropWizard or other J2EE webserver experience,
• Jersey, JAX-RS, Jackson, JDBI
• Use of JSON/REST for client-server data exchange
• Strong SQL knowledge, including complex queries and schema design
• Knowledge of cloud-based storage systems (Amazon S3)
• Agile development (Scrum)
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, AJAX
• Strong knowledge of programming / systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, and integration functions
• Remote debugging with Eclipse
• Web application security principles; common attacks and prevention
• Experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems

Skills and Ability:

• Minimum of 4 years of Java server side
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Candidate must have an extremely high level of energy, drive, and creativity to solve complex business problems; possess strong leadership capabilities.
• Have a high tolerance for ambiguity and an ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, customer centric and sales focused entrepreneurial environment.
• Some local and international travel may be involved.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
