Senior IT Project Manager - German Speaking

Our client is a joint venture of an international organisation in the defense and automotive industry and an IT System integrator. The headquarter is in Budapest and their initial mission is to provide project- and operations-related IT services to the parent company's local subsidiaries in Hungary and worldwide. Based on business requirements and opportunities, our client plans to expand the scope of its services for internal and external customers alike.

Your tasks will be:

• Expert support for program and project managers throughout all phases of assigned projects.
• Participation in the development and operation of the organizational structure of projects.
• Establishment and coordination of communication processes related to the projects.
• Development and operation of a regular and ad-hoc project reporting and analysis system.
• Organization of project-related events, such as regular meetings; managing invitations and attendance.
• Performing tasks related to project documentation under the guidance of the project manager.
• Organization of project workshops and trainings.
• Monitoring project team performance and supporting the project manager in enhancing team effectiveness.
• Continuous improvement and maintenance of project templates, providing support to program and project managers in their application.

Requirements:
• University degree in economics, engineering, or information technology.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in IT projects.
• Experience with the Waterfall project methodology.
• Experience with PM tools.
• Effective communication skills.
• Experience in project documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in critical or escalated situations.
• Ability to manage change and process information quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient user-level knowledge of the MS Office suite.
• Confident business-level English and German proficiency, both written and spoken;
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Systematic thinking with strong planning and organizational abilities.

What is a plus:

• Experience with PRINCE2 methodology and ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, such as task management using pull-mode from Kanban boards.
