PRIORITY, one of the largest and fastest growing Management and IT consulting firms in Greece, is currently seeking to hire an IT Project Manager on behalf of one of our clients in the banking industry.
Description
The IT Project Manager will oversee and manage critical IT projects within the IT department of the bank.
This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills, capable of managing a range of IT projects from conception to execution, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and technology standards.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the IT Project Manager include:
• Leading and managing a portfolio of IT projects focused on banking operations, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Establishing and maintaining project management frameworks, methodologies, and standards that promote the effective delivery of IT projects.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with the organization’s goals and customer needs.
• Performing risk management to minimize project risks and proactively addressing potential issues.
• Coordinating resources, both internal and external, to ensure effective project delivery.
• Adapting project management practices to meet the unique requirements of banking projects, including compliance with regulations and industry standards.
• Monitoring project progress, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Communicating project status, milestones, and expectations effectively to both team members and stakeholders.
• Managing project budgets and reporting on project financials to ensure optimal resource allocation.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Min. 6 years of project management experience, ideally with experience in the banking sector.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects, with a solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on detail and results.
• Experience with project management tools and software.
• Fluency in Greek and English.
• Project management certifications will be highly appreciated
