Senior IT Core Banking Developer

Quento Technologies S.A. seeks a highly motivated and experienced Senior IT Core Banking Developer to play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our client's central banking systems in Greece.

Your responsibilities will entail:

• Maintaining mission-critical core banking applications;
• Engaging in the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to support;
• Producing clear and detailed documentation for system architecture, functionality, and processes;
• Performing rigorous testing and data validation to ensure the absolute integrity of the systems;
• Efficiently troubleshooting and resolving complex software bugs and user-reported issues;
• Handling the integration of core banking platforms with other internal and external services;
• Collaborating closely with IT colleagues to maintain the stability, performance, and security of core systems;
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field;
• Over 5 years of hands-on software development experience, specifically within core banking systems;
• In-depth knowledge of banking operations, financial products, and regulatory compliance;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a keen eye for detail;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and manage competing deadlines successfully;
• Technical Expertise:
• Hands on experience with Opcon or other similar solution (major workload automation and orchestration platform, End-of-Day (EOD) processing, which involves running jobs on a mainframe, moving data to a data warehouse on a Linux server, generating reports on a Windows server, and then distributing those reports via email or FTP, Event Diven Automation, Centralized Monitoring and exception handling etc);
• Proficiency in foundational programming languages such as COBOL or C;
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-level core banking software platforms like AS/400 or Z/OS.
