(Senior) IT Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer

Your mission:
Wandelbots develops an easy to use software platform that enables anyone to program industrial robots intuitively.

As the IT team, we are building a modern, secure, and automated digital workplace, and we are looking for a (Senior) IT Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer who loves owning core platforms and services instead of just closing tickets.

In this role, you design, build, and operate our cloud and on premise infrastructure, including networking, VPN, platform services, and automation. You help us run a reliable environment for our colleagues and work closely with product engineering where shared platforms are involved.

Work Location: Hybrid, with regular on-site collaboration at our Dresden office and flexibility for remote work.

Experience & skills
You do not need to tick every box, but you should recognize yourself in most of these:
• Background in Linux administration, plus confident handling of Windows and macOS clients.
• Proven experience and deep knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (Azure preferred) including IAM, networking, compute, storage, and backup.
• Solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals (VPN, routing, firewalls, DNS, IAM).
• Experience operating container based workloads and ideally Kubernetes.
• Proficient with infrastructure as code tools (i.e. Terraform)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Github actions, Gitlab CI).
• Experience running internal platforms such as code hosting, CI runners, or artifact storage.
• Familiar with monitoring and logging solutions (for example Prometheus, Grafana, cloud native tooling).
• Fluent in written and spoken English, German on a conversational level is a plus.

Nice to have
• Experience implementing Azure Cloud Adoption Framework
• Experience with site networking across multiple locations.
• Linux virtualization (KVM, qemu)
• Cloud or DevOps related certifications.
