Senior IT Auditor

An opportunity is currently available for an experienced IT Audit Professional.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, highly diversified financial environment to assess risk, and plan and execute audits.  As an information technology auditor, this individual will have the opportunity to perform audits of general application and system controls, as well as operational controls of Agency Distribution, Individual Life Insurance and Group Insurance.  The position participates in all aspects of the audit including the planning, control analysis, testing, issue development and reporting. This individual will be expected to engage in dialogue with business/IT unit management and various control partners to identify and assess risks and controls.

This position is based in Newark, NJ; however audit fieldwork will require some domestic travel

• Strong project management and analytical skills to conduct audits and assess financial, operational, compliance and systems risk
• Strong data analysis and experience with computer assisted auditing techniques
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• The ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management, external auditors and other control partners to analyze business risks and controls
• Demonstrated ability to effectively and confidently discuss audit issues with management and develop business-focused recommendations to strengthen controls is essential
• Knowledge and/or experience of the technology and risks associated with Web applications, mobile devices, social media, malware and cloud computing is a plus but not required
• Certification including one or more of: CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM are a plus but not required

$75K to $90K plus Bonus
