Work on a well-established consumer marketplace platform in the pet services space, connecting pet owners with a network of independent caregivers for on-demand and scheduled care. Their mobile-first product enables customers to book services, coordinate with caregivers, and receive service updates in real time. Job Summary

As a Senior iOS Software Engineer, you’ll own the end-to-end delivery of features ranging from small enhancements to extra-large initiatives—taking work from scoping and design through implementation, testing, and release. You bring exceptional attention to detail, can manage multiple priorities at once, and think creatively to ship high-quality experiences. In addition to feature work, you’ll partner with your Product Manager and Technical Lead to prioritize platform and technical improvements, quickly aligning with established iOS development guidelines and conventions. You’ll also leverage AI-assisted coding tools to iterate faster and continuously raise the bar on code quality and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into polished, production-ready iOS experiences for millions of Pet Parents.

• Write clean, maintainable Swift code while working with and improving our existing Objective-C codebase.

• Design and implement view hierarchies using Storyboards and programmatic layouts, ensuring pixel-perfect UI across devices.

• Own post-release health of your features; proactively surface and prioritize issues with stakeholders.

• Work closely with product managers, designers, technical lead and architect, backend engineers, and QA to deliver cohesive user experiences.

• Share knowledge with teammates through code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• 5+ years of professional iOS development experience

• Expert-level Swift proficiency with deep understanding of Swift language features, protocols, and modern patterns.

• Working knowledge of Objective-C – ability to read, maintain, and integrate with legacy Objective-C code.

• Strong Storyboard experience – comfortable designing complex view hierarchies, segues, and Auto Layout constraints in Interface Builder.

• Solid understanding of UIKit, Foundation, and Apple Human Interface Guidelines.

• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON parsing, and networking best practices.

• Familiarity with Git workflows and collaborative development processes.

• Understanding of memory management, retain cycles, and performance optimization.
