Robots & Pencils is seeking a Senior iOS Developer (L4) to join a dedicated delivery team focused on evolving safety-critical and customer-facing mobile applications used daily by field crews, supervisors, and customers. The team emphasizes reliability, offline support, security, and regulatory compliance while delivering technical modernization, roadmap initiatives, and ongoing platform improvements.

You’ll work in a mature Agile environment alongside stakeholders and internal team members to deliver high-quality iOS solutions. This role is ideal for an iOS engineer with deep experience in Swift and iOS development, a strong product mindset, and a commitment to building reliable, secure, and maintainable mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance iOS applications using Swift and iOS SDK.

• Implement secure, offline-first functionality ensuring reliability in low-connectivity environments.

• Integrate with REST APIs, Push Notifications (APNs), and third-party mobile SDKs.

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver production-ready, user-centered features.

• Ensure app security, performance, and compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver full-feature development in an Agile environment.

• Advocate for code quality, maintainable architecture, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional iOS development experience.

• Strong proficiency in Swift, iOS SDK, and Xcode.

• Experience with secure storage (Keychain / Secure Enclave), Push Notifications (APNs), REST APIs, and third-party mobile SDKs.

• Solid understanding of mobile architecture, offline-first design, and performance optimization.

• Familiarity with Git and modern version control workflows.

• Experience working in Agile environments and delivering high-quality, enterprise-grade applications.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for iOS apps.

• Knowledge of modern iOS UI frameworks (SwiftUI, Combine).

• Experience with analytics, monitoring, and automated testing for iOS applications.

• Exposure to regulated enterprise environments or safety-critical applications.
