This role plays a vital part in strengthening trust, transparency and decision‑making across TAL by delivering insightful audit reviews that support better business outcomes. Working across a diverse range of business units, you’ll partner closely with senior leaders to provide meaningful insights that help safeguard our customers, our people and our purpose. As a trusted voice within the organisation, you’ll also help evolve internal audit practices and frameworks, ensuring they continue to add value and support TAL in delivering on its promise to protect what matters most.
In this role you will:
• Deliver high‑quality internal audits that provide clear insight into business risk and control effectiveness
• Identify and articulate impactful findings that support stronger decision‑making and risk management
• Influence senior stakeholders through confident communication of audit outcomes and insights
• Drive accountability by validating actions taken to address audit findings and strengthen controls
• Provide meaningful visibility of audit outcomes and themes to support organisational assurance
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal audit practices and frameworks across TAL
• Brings a solid foundation in internal or external audit, supported by relevant tertiary and/or professional qualifications (e.g. CA, CPA, CIA or similar)
• Applies a strong understanding of financial services risk and regulation to deliver practical, value‑adding insight
• Builds trusted relationships through a collaborative, people‑focused approach and clear, confident communication
• Thinks analytically and stays curious, asking thoughtful questions to get beneath the surface while remaining open and constructive
• Works independently and proactively, managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes with confidence
• Demonstrates professional resilience and maturity, responding positively to challenge, feedback and differing perspectives
