What will you be doing?

In this role, you will be the point of contact for the on-site Vanderlande and subcontractor team, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of equipment installation—from training and start-up to completion. You will be part of the on-site Vanderlande Installation team and manage the subcontracted scope of work during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of SCS Equipment. You will report to the Vanderlande Site or Project Manager and collaborate closely with your installation crew, with whom you are ultimately responsible for the installation activities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for on-site installation activities of the Airport equipment

• Create a safe working environment during the whole project phase

• Develop the installation plan, logistic plan, and time schedule

• Lead the preparation for the start-up of the installation

• Delegate responsibilities to installation teams

• Check ahead on scheduled activities to prevent inefficiency

• Perform quality checks on installation and processes

• Provide proper feedback about progress and status

• Ensure a high-quality handover to commissioning

• Provide installation support during the commissioning phase

• Organize all site-related activities until handover to the customer

• Manage all scope-related costs and work within the budgets

What do we ask from you?

• Proven track record in executing projects and working remotely

• Technical education and experience in the industry

• Proficient in reading and speaking English

• 5 years of relevant working experience in medium to large projects

• Knowledge of Material Handling equipment

• Prepared to travel for over 80% - 90% of the time

About the team

This position is based in the department of Project Execution within Customer Centre EMEA LATAM. You will be part of the installations team, which consists of roughly 40-50 construction managers and installation supervisors. This position offers a competitive salary range of €4,200 to €5,000 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
