Designation - Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Convera is looking for a forward-thinking technical leader who can build and lead a team of network engineers who could transform current network platforms (WAN, LAN, Wireless) into modern day architecture using industry leading technologies and be future ready.

The role requires great understanding & knowledge on Routing & Switching, MPLS, IPSec, Wireless, cloud based SD-WAN solution, SD-LAN, FWs, Load Balancers and other related network technologies.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for direction, strategy, and implementation of the overall Enterprise Network Infrastructure Architecture

• Coordinate strategies & participate in technology selection activities and work with the appropriate business and IT stakeholders to ensure the long-term network infrastructure technology plan

• Technical SPOC for enterprise-wide network infrastructure technology

• Define principles/standards for infrastructure which includes Cloud, Remote office locations

• Lead & participate in vendor evaluation and selection of network technology solution

• Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including firewalls, routers, switches, UPSs, and other hardware

• Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades

• Achieve operational efficiency by proactive monitoring, issue resolution & root cause analysis

• Execute, support and improve Business Continuity Plan

• Responsible for Network, Firewalls, ISP management, Site reliability

• Reporting network status to key stakeholders

• Partner with other IT teams to achieve business excellence

ABOUT IDEAL CANDIDATE

Minimum Qualifications

• Experienced in Cloud-based architecture and deployments, particularly with AWS

• Experienced in implementing and managing enterprise WAN, LAN & Wireless networks

• Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including routers, switches (layer 2/3), firewalls, remote access, DNS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, QoS, VPN and SDWAN

• Expert level knowledge in products like Palo Alto FW, Palo Alto SD-WAN, Aurba wireless, Cisco switches

• Works closely with Cyber Security leader to develop and execute continuous improvement plans

• Proven technical leader and would be able to lead a team

• Strong oral and written communications with excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills

• Collaborative working style to be able to partner with IT stakeholders across organization and Influence technology decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in supporting cloud based contact center implementation

• Strong Understanding Architecture Principles, Patterns, Guidelines, Architecture Standards, Technology trends, emerging technologies, Enterprise Architecture processes like Design Reviews, Architecture Review Boards

• Experience leading multiple projects including experience managing team efforts, processes, and technologies throughout project full-life cycles

• Great attention to detail and follow through on tasks

• Innovative and Self Motivated

• Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines

• Vendor management

• Skilled communicator with ability to present technical topics to senior leadership
