Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

 

• Large-Scale Virtualization Operations: Operate and support a complex virtualized infrastructure of approximately 800 virtual appliances, ensuring stability, scalability, and continuous service availability.
• High-Availability Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V environments, ensuring high performance, resilience, and continuous availability for business-critical systems.
• Infrastructure Lifecycle Administration: Oversee daily infrastructure operations, including provisioning, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management of virtual machines within enterprise environments.
• Proactive Monitoring & Issue Resolution: Continuously monitor system health and proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, system, and network-related issues to minimize service disruption.
• Advanced Network & System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex incidents related to DNS, IP addressing, proxy configurations, firewall connectivity, and overall network communication flows.
• Linux Systems Support & Operational Compliance: Provide support for Linux-based systems using command-line tools, collaborate with internal teams and vendors, contribute to operational documentation and standard procedures, and ensure adherence to security, availability, and operational standards.

Must have

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure operations or systems engineering, supporting large-scale virtualized environments.

• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V.

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, IP addressing, proxies, and firewall concepts.

• Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and confident use of the command-line interface.

• Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot system, virtualization, and network issues in production environments.

• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions is an advantage.

• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments is desirable.

• Experience with SailPoint ISC Virtual Appliances is a strong plus, but not mandatory.

• Structured, reliable, and service-oriented working style.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

• Comfortable working in operational environments with high availability and reliability requirements

• Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
