Job Description
Sensorberg - Who?:
Sensorberg is an innovative Berlin-based tech company that was founded in 2013.
We develop hardware and software for the digitalisation and automation of buildings. We specialise in solutions for storage, co-working spaces and commercial. We believe that a building is not just a building but a place where people spend more than half of their lives. Besides intelligent access systems, we equip buildings with a comprehensive digital infrastructure to provide occupants with the highest levels of safety, comfort and productivity, while enabling operators and owners to manage and utilize buildings with maximum efficiency.
We are a rather small company where people of different cultures and personalities come together and have (their) place. We are looking for people who share our vision and believe that a mix of qualifications, skills, personality and diversity is the basis for a transformative work process and the key to a successful system - in terms of people as well as technology. What we all have in common is a "hands-on" mentality, appreciation towards others and the ability to deal with (different) demands.
What's my role?:
• Take ownership of our Kubernetes clusters - ensure stability, performance, and scalability across all environments
• Continuously improve and automate infrastructure operations, focusing on reliability, observability, and maintainability
• Use monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, etc.) to proactively identify issues and drive performance improvements
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployments and high-quality service delivery
• Develop self-service tools and automation that empower teams and reduce manual operations
• Contribute to the design and implementation of secure, compliant, and resilient infrastructure solutions
• Participate in on-call rotation and post-mortems to improve system robustness
What should I bring with me?:
• Solid knowledge of Linux, preferably Debian-based systems
• Experience operating and managing containerized environments (Kubernetes)
• Practical experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, SaltStack, or Puppet
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash
• A structured and detail-oriented mindset, with a strong focus on security and reliability
• A continuous improvement attitude - you strive to simplify and automate
• English proficiency is required; German is a plus (especially to get the jokes!)
• Interest in IoT and connecting the physical and digital worlds is a strong plus
• Experience with IoT fleet orchestration tools is a bonus
