Senior Industrial Designer

THE ROLE 
 
As a Senior Industrial Designer at NewDealDesign, you will deliver design work that shapes project outcomes and supports business goals. You will collaborate with the entire design and engineering teams and combine design excellence with client engagement. You will report to the Director of Industrial Design. This role demands a hands-on approach and commitment and is entirely onsite. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

Provide tactical management of ID projects, collaborating with Engineers, Experience Designers, and Design Strategists to develop ideas and meet technical requirements. 

Craft and organize all visual designs, written documents, and presentations effectively for clients’ needs. 

Assist NDD leadership in client-facing meetings and other professional functions. 

Provide expertise working with an array of design tools to complete projects, such as 3D CAD SolidWorks, 3D Rendering, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft365 to bring projects and presentations to life.  

Demonstrate your understanding of the value of color, materials, and finishes as it applies to product design.

Location: Our creative studio is located in the South Park area of San Francisco! 

REQUIREMENTS 

Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or equivalent. 

Must have 5-8 years of recent and very relevant industrial design experience. 

Eligible to work in the US. 

Excellence in relevant digital tools – SolidWorks, Keyshot, Adobe CC. 

Excellent hand-sketching and form-development. 

Great problem-solving and communication skills. 

Demonstrate strong mechanical understanding and ability to interact with internal and external engineering teams. 

Must have a portfolio that showcases your creative process, excellent form control, storytelling, and craft (sketches and models).
