As a Senior Hybrid Mobile Engineer, you will join a highly motivated and experienced team, building web and mobile applications as well as providing strategy consulting for Appnovation’s clients. We are looking for people who can bring a strong, consulting and solution focused mindset and contribute to architectural decisions, best practices and get things done.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on frontend and hybrid mobile application development

• Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3

• Experience with responsive design, Flexbox, and CSS preprocessors such as SCSS, SASS, or LESS

• Proficiency with React Native and Expo, including reusable component patterns and shared component libraries

• Experience using NativeWind for Tailwind-style styling in React Native

• Familiarity with TanStack Query for server-state management and consuming RESTful APIs

• Experience building reusable UI components and integrating third-party UI libraries such as Material UI or Bootstrap

• Strong experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs in frontend and mobile applications

• Experience implementing authentication flows using AWS Cognito on the frontend

• Working knowledge of cloud and serverless architectures, preferably AWS, from a frontend integration perspective

• Experience with unit testing for frontend and mobile applications

• Solid understanding of DevOps practices relevant to frontend and mobile development, including Git and CI/CD pipelines

• Experience managing mobile application release processes for the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, including build signing, versioning, store metadata, and submission workflows

• Familiarity with app store review guidelines, release approvals, phased rollouts, and post-release issue management

• Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies

• You have prior experience in consulting
