Your Responsibilities:
We are looking for a new colleague to join our HR Department in Berlin on a full-time basis /40 hour a week starting next possible date.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
• HR Point of Contact: Be part of a six-member team and serve as the primary contact for all HR, contractual, and labor law matters at our Berlin location
• HR Business Partner: Provide support to permanent employees and management from academic, administrative, and sponsoring organizations across our sites in Berlin, Hamburg, Potsdam, and Iserlohn
• International Support: Assist employees and management at international locations and oversee the integration of new sites and their teams
• Operational HR Management: Handle daily HR tasks such as drafting employment contracts, references, and certificates; preparatory payroll accounting; maintaining personnel files; visa support; managing our HRMS (Personio); and coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes
• Strategic HR Support: Contribute to strategic analysis, decision-making, workforce planning, and personnel cost control, reporting directly to the Head of HR Operations
• Works Council Processes: Administer processes and projects related to works council collaboration
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships within the organization and with external service providers
• Conceptual HR Development: Optimize existing processes and actively shape HR concepts. Lead projects such as process management, compensation structures, benefits, and employee appraisal systems
• HR Controlling & Reporting: Prepare reports and key metrics to support HR analysis and decision-making
Your profile:
• Educational Background: Completed university degree with a focus on Human Resources or a comparable qualification, or several years of relevant professional experience
• Expertise in Labor & Contract Law: Strong knowledge of employment and contract regulations
• Project Management Skills: Proven experience in managing HR-related projects
• Professional Experience: At least 5 years in a generalist HR role
• Multi-Site & International HR: Solid experience supporting multiple locations and managing international employees
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Language Skills: Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken
• Personal Attributes: Strong service orientation and a positive, professional approach
