This is a fixed-term contract for a maternity cover from around April 2026 to July 2027. Exact dates may vary. 
Job Summary 
• Advise leaders on HR strategy, workforce planning, and employee development initiatives.
• Requires in-depth Greece and Cyprus labour law knowledge and experience
• Uses best practices and knowledge
• Solves complex problems: takes a new perspective using existing solutions
• Works independently receives minimal guidance
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
Responsibilities
Responsible for solving complex problems within their discipline, leading projects, and providing informal guidance to colleagues.
• Labor Law Compliance & ERGANI: Act as the primary point of contact for Greek & Cyprus labor authorities. Manage the end-to-end process of the PS ERGANI II (hires, terminations, schedule changes, and Digital Work Card monitoring) to ensure 100% compliance.
• LWC Strategy & Relationship Management: Act as the primary HR interlocutor and "Company Representative" for the Local Works Council (LWC). Build and maintain a constructive, "good faith" relationship to ensure business continuity.
• Strategic Advisory (Greece & Cyprus): Partner with local Business Leaders to translate global Nielsen strategies into locally relevant action plans, ensuring alignment with Greek and Cypriot employment customs.
• Total Rewards & Benefits Liaison: Oversee the administration of local benefit programs (e.g., Private Health Insurance).
• Payroll Collaboration: Coordinate with the external payroll provider to ensure accurate monthly reporting, including overtime calculations, leaves, and bonus payments.
• Health & Safety Coordination: Ensure compliance with local Occupational Health and Safety regulations (Technical Safety Officers and Occupational Doctors) for both the Athens and Nicosia offices.
• Extensive work experience in the HR field. 
• Market Expertise: Deep knowledge of Greek and Cyprus Labor Law is mandatory; familiarity with Cyprus Industrial Relations and Social Insurance law is highly preferred.
• Systems Proficiency: Practical experience with HRIS systems and specialized Greek payroll/Ergani software.
• Communication: Fluent in Greek and English (written and verbal). Ability to explain complex, difficult, and/or sensitive legal/HR information to stakeholders at all levels.
• Advanced Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated ability to remain calm and strategic in high-pressure "Social Dialogue" environments. Ability to influence and reach consensus with elected employee representatives.
• Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate Nielsen in the market
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree or certifications preferred.
