Job Description
Ready to be part of something big? At KRUSH Labs, a privately owned R&D center, we push the boundaries of unmanned systems and advanced hardware. We’re building next-generation platforms that fuse resilient communications, AI-driven autonomy, and precision navigation, designed to perform in the most demanding real-world environments. Join us to tackle complex challenges, turn cutting-edge research into deployed technology, and help shape the future of autonomous systems!
As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will contribute to project development from start to end. From understanding project requirements and communicating with team members, to designing and implementation. You will participate in discussions about implementation decisions, design trade-offs and DFM and DFT impacts.
Key Responsibilities
• Design digital, analog, and power supply circuits, including their integration into RF devices
• Lead hardware development activities from concept through prototype validation and production release
• Perform PCB layout activities, circuit calculations, and place components such as connectors, indicators, and high-speed interfaces
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to define thermal management, shielding, and integration requirements
• Create schematics, select components, and perform PCB layout and routing in line with DFM and DFT guidelines
• Support the full product lifecycle, including bring-up, testing, debugging, validation, and optimization of prototypes
• Identify root causes of hardware issues and implement corrective actions during development and testing phases
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), design specifications, and test reports
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field
• 7+ years of experience in hardware development and PCB design
• Proven experience independently designing digital, analog, and power circuits
• Solid understanding of PCB manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability/testability
• Experience with Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro
• Experience with hardware data interfaces: SPI, UART, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet, LVDS
• Experience with high-speed PCB design principles and signal integrity considerations
• Skilled in using laboratory and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers
• Strong knowledge of PCB layout principles and best practices for complex hardware systems
• Experience supporting products from concept through prototype validation and production
Skills & Abilities Required
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in hardware design and testing
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of hardware development tasks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in prototype debugging and design optimization
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with design, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams
• Experience in RF circuit design and signal integrity simulations (preferred)
• Knowledge of EMC compliance and testing (preferred)
• Familiarity with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, USB 3.1, LVDS) (preferred)
• Experience with performing technical reviews
