Your role
As Sr/Group Lead Cost Controlling, you lead the global Cost Controlling team and play a key role in enabling the business to effectively manage and continuously improve Vanderlande’s global cost base and Service (“SUS”) contracts in a standardized and scalable way.
The global cost base amounts to approximately €1 billion, spanning all domains (Airports, Parcel, Warehouse), regions and functions, including Engineering, Project Execution and enabling functions such as HR, IT and Finance. This scope covers 10,000+ employees, 600+ cost centers and 200+ cost center managers.
The team was established in October 2024 and is on a journey to deliver Lean & Effective Finance through standardization, automation and process excellence.
You report to the Director Technology Controlling and work closely with your team, Finance colleagues (Controllers, FP&A, Finance & Accounting) and senior business stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading, coaching and developing a global team of approximately 10 direct reports across three regions
• Driving the planning and performance cycle, including actuals, budget and forecast, and providing clear insights and advice
• Designing and executing the standardization, automation and change roadmap within Cost Controlling
• Acting as the global point of contact for Cost Controlling and Service (“SUS”)
• Strengthening collaboration between Finance and the business to improve cost transparency and decision-making
Your profile
• A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Business Economics, Accountancy or a related field
• 10+ years of relevant Business / Cost Controlling experience in an international environment
• Strong people leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage, coach and develop diverse teams
• Solid stakeholder management and change leadership capabilities
• A structured and detail-oriented mindset, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A proactive and autonomous working style, able to manage multiple initiatives in parallel and escalate when needed
• Willingness to be regularly present at our Headquarters in Veghel

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 6535 to € 8870 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
