Role Summary

As a Senior Graph DB Engineer in Hafnia , you will start and enable our journey to index and organize our data library to become graph based. This means a blank slate and the opportunity to architect data and relations as you see fit. Your expertise in graph DB will be critical to search, and cherry pick data for the future of model training. You will become a member in our cross-functional team to drive our graph DB transformation, ensuring best practices and compliance with industry standards.

What you will do

Own all aspects of the graph DB, tools, architecture and strategy
Build the right ontology, ensuring clarity, consistency, governance and alignment with our use cases
Drive the end-to-end migration from our current setup to the graph database in constant iterations
Build and operate scalable graph ingestion and queries with robust monitoring and QA
Ensure Confidentiality, Integrity and Accessibility of the data with production grade performance
Build awareness on how to best integrate with a graph database and how to leverage its advantage
Create and maintain the documentation regarding the implemented system and best practices that comes with it

What you bring to the team

Mastery of graph databases and query languages, with a capacity to select the right tool for the job
Advanced knowledge in graph data modeling and ontology design for large-scale, AI-focused datasets.
Proficiency in ETL/ELT, streaming ingestion, and Change Data Capture pipelines
Ability to optimize graph performance - indexing, profiling, partitioning, caching
Knowledge of software development in Python and CI/CD
Familiar with data lineage, governance, security, observability, dataset diversity and data quality enforcement

How will you make a difference

Experience in building ontology and design graph architecture for computer vision AI model training datasets.
Extensive Experience in data and ML platforms, and in enabling ML/AI workflows using graph-derived features and embeddings
5+ years building and operating graph databases in production at scale
Led end-to-end migrations from relational to graph database and further integration to new components
Designed and governed enterprise ontologies used by downstream AI/ML pipelines
