Senior Go Developer

Join EPAM Spain as a Senior Backend Engineer and make a meaningful impact on our healthcare client, who operates a telemedicine platform and a free-to-use website and mobile app that tracks prescription drug prices in the US and provides free drug coupons for discounts on medications. We're looking for a team player with excellent communication skills, engineering mastery and a B2+/C1 English level for effective stakeholder interactions.

Responsibilities

Communicate with customer and handle their requests in a timely manner
Create and maintain testing infrastructure for unit & automated testing
Design, implement, and maintain highly scalable and performant services
Partner with teams across the organization to think beyond the technical implications of design decisions
Engage in code reviews to ensure code quality as well as share and distribute knowledge
Own, create, or review technical design proposals and proof of concepts
Evangelize engineering best practices and push for higher engineering standards
Promote a culture of operational excellence by meticulously testing and monitoring our systems and code, writing documentation, and being on-call to support the health of our services

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
2+ years of strong Go experience
5+ years of total software development experience
Significant experience designing, building, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based web services and microservices (AWS experience preferred)
Experience with SQL/Databases/Postgres
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about code quality, best practices, continuous delivery, and automated testing
Ability and desire to be a polyglot. Adapting to the tools and technologies appropriate for the job at hand
Ability to work directly with the customer without supervision
Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders (English level B2 or higher)
