As a leader in muscle biology and the mechanics of muscle performance, the company is developing small molecule drug candidates specifically engineered to impact myocardial muscle function and contractility.

At Cytokinetics, each team member plays an integral part in advancing our mission to improve the lives of patients. We are seeking tenacious, compassionate, and collaborative individuals who are driven to make a positive impact.

The Global Supply Planner (Contract) will support the Commercial Supply Chain team in executing end-to-end (E2E) tactical supply planning activities for an assigned brand portfolio. The position will contribute to the monthly planning cycle, including demand propagation to bulk production and Drug Substance/API.

• Support the development and maintenance of global supply plans, ensuring alignment with business requirements, regulatory standards, and market needs.

• Help optimize inventory strategies and E2E supply chain configurations by maintaining accurate planning parameters and identifying potential risks.

• Execute planning activities in compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and internal SOPs.

Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Support

• Prepare data, analyses, and scenario models to support the S&OP process.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to review demand, supply, and inventory positions and highlight potential imbalances.

• Assist in resolving supply disruptions, capacity constraints, and forecast discrepancies by providing analysis and recommendations.

Budget & Performance Planning Support

• Contribute to the creation of supply plans used for annual budget processes, including capacity, inventory, and purchasing inputs.

• Track and report operational KPIs such as service levels, inventory levels, on-time delivery performance, and forecast accuracy.

• Support the balance of short-term operational needs with longer-term planning considerations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with teams including regulatory affairs, quality, commercial, finance, external manufacturing, and logistics to ensure alignment of supply plans.

• Provide planning insights to internal stakeholders and ensure coordinated execution of supply chain activities.

• Work with regional and local teams to support regulatory- and market-specific requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Participate in initiatives to streamline planning processes and enhance operational efficiency.

• Monitor industry trends, technologies, and regulatory updates relevant to supply planning.

• Support implementation of planning system enhancements and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 7–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical supply chain or related planning functions.

• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical production processes, inventory management, and regulatory requirements (GxP, FDA, EMA).

• Experience with supply chain systems and planning tools (e.g., ERP, forecasting software).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry with exposure to global supply chain operations.
