We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GIS Engineer specializing in Roads Operations and Maintenance (O&M) to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of advanced GIS solutions to support the management and maintenance of road networks in the region.

• Design and implement GIS-based solutions for road network analysis, asset management, and maintenance planning
• Develop and maintain spatial databases for road infrastructure and related assets
• Conduct complex spatial analysis to optimize road maintenance schedules and resource allocation
• Create high-quality maps, reports, and data visualizations to support decision-making processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS data with other systems and workflows
• Manage GIS projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality results
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior GIS team members
• Stay current with emerging GIS technologies and industry best practices in road O&M
• Ensure data quality and accuracy through rigorous quality control processes
• Develop and document GIS procedures and standards for the organization

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Professional GIS certification (e.g., GISP) is highly desirable
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in GIS, with a focus on roads and infrastructure projects
• Proven experience in Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of road networks
• Advanced proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS and QGIS
• Strong skills in spatial analysis, mapping techniques, and database management systems
• Experience with remote sensing, image processing, and CAD software
• Expertise in data visualization and reporting tools
• Strong knowledge of transportation infrastructure and road network systems
• Experience in asset management and maintenance planning for large-scale infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to design and manage spatial databases
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex GIS projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor junior staff
• Willingness to work on-site in Doha, Qatar, and travel as required for project needs
