THE TEAM
Our R&D team is responsible for designing, developing, and evolving the internal products that power our business. As a B2B company specialising in second-hand luxury items, we rely on technology to optimise every stage of our operations, from buying and inbound logistics to selling and post-sales support. We are a global team with members across Portugal, Brazil, and the Philippines.

PORTO
Our office is near Porto, in the north of Portugal, and is located in a vibrant business hub. It offers a dynamic and welcoming environment where our employees can connect and network with a large community of tech professionals.

THE ROLE
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will join our Porto hub to develop internal products that power our business areas. You will pair with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to define, plan, execute and foster a culture of technical excellence.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Be a Technical Reference: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will drive architectural decisions for both backend services and frontend applications, establishing coding standards and best practices.
• E2E Ownership: Own the definition, planning, execution, delivery, and monitoring of features in a production environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Be Product-Driven: Pair with Product Managers on discovery, refinement, estimation, and prioritisation of new features, translating business requirements into technical specs.
• Architect Scalable Solutions: Design and implement robust applications and event-driven architectures using Azure Service Bus and Hangfire for background processing and asynchronous tasks.
• Ensure Data Integrity: Manage and optimise database schemas, ensuring data consistency and query performance.
• Collaborate on UX/UI: Engage closely with the Design Team, ensuring faithful implementation of our web strategy and contribute to the evolution and maintenance of our internal Design System, ensuring visual consistency and code reusability.
• Champion Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for APIs, architecture diagrams, and system flows.
• Master the Stack: .NET (C#), SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL, Hangfire, Azure Service Bus, React/TypeScript, Azure, Terraform, CI/CD (Bitbucket Pipelines).

WHO YOU ARE:
• Experienced: You have at least 7 years of experience building and deploying distributed systems and web applications.
• Backend Specialist: You have deep proficiency in .NET (C#) and a solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Database Proficient: You are comfortable working with relational databases and know how to optimise them for scale.
• Async & Background Processing: You have proven experience implementing background jobs (using Hangfire or similar) and event-driven architecture using message brokers (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc).
• Frontend Capable: You are proficient with React and TypeScript, capable of building and maintaining functional and responsive UI components.
• Quality Obsessed: You view automated testing (Unit, Integration) as a baseline for every feature and know how to integrate tests into a CI/CD pipeline.
• Cloud Aware: Strong familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) is highly valued.
• Global Communicator: You are comfortable working with different time zones and thrive in an environment that values asynchronous communication and autonomy.
