(Senior) Fullstack Engineer - Backend Focus (all genders)

What you will do:
• Develop and evolve our Symfony-based backend, the core of our roaming and transaction hub

• Learn, understand and implement e-Roaming integrations based on industry protocols like OCPI, connecting charging networks across Europe

• Work with well-defined REST APIs and a microservice-oriented architecture, helping us gradually modernize our monolithic legacy system – guided by pragmatism, not ideology

• Build and maintain frontend features using Vue.js and Nuxt.js

• Build robust, maintainable code for a high-throughput environment

• Collaborate on our journey toward an event-driven ecosystem

• Participate in architectural discussions that shape chargecloud's SaaS ecosystem

• Leverage AI tools to support and accelerate your daily development work

Your profile:
• A degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification provides your technical foundation

• Several years of experience in fullstack development define your professional background

• Fluency in English (C1 level) allows you to communicate effectively in our international environment

• Deep, proven experience with PHP and Symfony in production environments

• Solid experience with Vue.js and Nuxt.js

• Solid understanding of REST principles, request lifecycles, and clean API design

• Comfortable working with Docker and Docker Compose – this is our daily workflow

• Know your way around SQL and relational databases

• Pragmatic mindset: you know when to keep things simple and when to go deeper

Nice to have – or learn
• AWS or Kubernetes exposure

• Experience with event-driven architectures, Kafka, or message queues

• Familiarity with observability tooling like Grafana and Prometheus

• Interest in high-data-volume environments and performance optimization
