Senior Full Stack Java SW Engineer

A Day in the Life of a Senior Full Stack Java SW Engineer at Qualco will include:

• Design, develop, and enhance complex enterprise applications by analyzing existing systems and identifying opportunities for improvement;
• Perform specification analysis and contribute to the design and development of new applications to meet business and customer requirements;
• Coach and review the work of less experienced team members, promoting high engineering standards and best practices;
• Develop and execute manual and automated unit tests, ensuring comprehensive functional coverage, including edge cases and exceptional scenarios;
• Review unit test results and documentation, validating quality, coverage, and evidence;
• Identify, analyze, and resolve high-complexity software defects to ensure stable and reliable application performance;
• Contribute to and maintain the application development roadmap, ensuring work is prioritized in line with business objectives;
• Ensure adherence to security best practices, apply required security controls, monitor application performance, and escalate potential security issues to relevant experts;
• Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation for complex systems; review documentation produced by junior colleagues;
• Support system integration across internal platforms and third-party systems;
• Work with and evolve legacy systems within large enterprise environments;
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and actively support the implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
• Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in developing enterprise-scale IT software systems;
• Strong expertise in Java and enterprise Java frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot);
• Experience with client-side technologies including React/Redux and Angular;
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3;
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP integrations;
• Experience working with JSON, XML;
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and MongoDB;
• Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Java Servlet containers (e.g., Tomcat);
• Strong experience in writing and reviewing unit tests;
• Good knowledge of version control systems and enterprise SDLC practices;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps collaboration models;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to deliver under strict deadlines.
