Senior Full Stack Engineer (TypeScript, React, and Next.js)

We’re looking to bring on board a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our client’s Customer Tribe, the team responsible for developing and maintaining the core applications used daily by millions on one of Australia’s leading e-commerce platforms.

This is a hands-on, technically challenging role where you’ll collaborate closely with a skilled team—including engineers, a product manager, QA engineer, and designer—in a fast-paced environment. You’ll play a crucial role in shaping our customer-facing systems, spanning the website, app, and vital communication channels.

• Your Responsibilities
• Own the entire software development lifecycle, from designing and building robust solutions to deploying and monitoring them in production.
• Address complex technical issues independently, bringing creative and unconventional ideas to the team.
• Work closely with your squad to define technical requirements and design scalable, high-performance systems.
• Write clean, well-tested code within our main technology stack, while also maintaining and updating legacy systems.
• Foster a culture of strong ownership and accountability for the software you develop.
• Advocate for the customer experience, ensuring every technical decision positively impacts end users.
• Recognize the importance of monitoring and observability, making sure our applications are effectively instrumented.

Who you are:
• Extensive hands-on experience in full stack software engineering, with a strong emphasis on developing scalable and resilient applications.
• Proficient in TypeScript, React, and Next.js, complemented by backend expertise in NestJS and Java.
• Solid knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, along with experience in performance and end-to-end (E2E) testing.
• Proven experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles and best practices for designing cloud-native applications.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and a good grasp of automating and optimizing deployment workflows.
• Well-versed in monitoring and observability practices, with familiarity in tools that ensure application health and performance.
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.
