About the role

We are looking for a Mid-Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a small, fast-moving development team working on a new sports gaming product. This is an ongoing, long-term role with a strong focus on backend development, supporting the launch of the first football-based product and its evolution into additional sports.

You will work closely with a small group of engineers and a dedicated design house, contributing directly to meeting a critical launch deadline and shaping the technical foundation of the platform. The role requires speed, accuracy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Build and develop backend services primarily using Java and Spring Boot
• Support the delivery of the first product release (Pitch Point) ahead of the planned launch date
• Work closely with another engineer to deliver features quickly and accurately
• Contribute to infrastructure and DevOps-related tasks to support deployment and reliability
• Maintain, iterate, and improve the football version of the game post-launch
• Support the development of future games for other sports
• Collaborate with a design house on UX/UI and product requirements
• Balance delivery speed with code quality in a fast-paced development environment

Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience with Java in backend development (core requirement)
• 3+ years of experience with Spring Boot building production-ready services
• 2+ years of experience with infrastructure / DevOps, supporting deployments and environments
• Experience working primarily on backend systems, with a small front-end contribution
• Ability to work effectively in a small team and deliver against tight deadlines
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment with evolving priorities

Nice to have:
• Experience with React (front-end exposure only; not a core requirement)
• Experience designing for performance and scalability
• Strong backend and infrastructure experience that can offset limited front-end exposure
