About Hazel
Hazel is building the AI engine for wealth management that helps unlock 10x growth, efficiency and value for financial advisors and their clients in a regulated industry. Since its launch last September, Hazel has organically and rapidly grown its user base.
Hazel is a part of Altruist’s broader mission to make financial advice better, more affordable, and accessible to all.
The opportunity
We recently launched hazel.ai, an AI assistant that has ~10x’d users in one month and are excited to hire a Sr. Full Stack Engineer to build out an improved customer onboarding experience and AI financial planning features.
This role is hybrid, with four in-office days per week at our San Francisco FiDi location.

What you bring
• Experience - 4+ years of software engineering experience building customer/consumer-facing web applications with best engineering practices
• 1+ years full stack engineering experience designing and developing key product features from UI to backend services
• Education - Ideally looking for a B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science or similar Engineering/Mathematics degrees
• Technical aptitude - You’re technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks (We use React.js, Typescript, GraphQL, Python, Microservices, AWS)

San Francisco, CA salary range
$200,000—$250,000 USD

Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package, along with equity in the form of Stock Options (ISOs) for eligible roles.
