The Senior Full-Stack Developer is responsible for owning, maintaining, and evolving a core operations platform that supports end-to-end workflows for service-based field operations, including work order management, dispatch scheduling, rental and service requests, invoicing, reporting, and integrations with accounting and communication systems.
This role requires full-stack ownership of an existing production system built on an Angular frontend and Laravel/PHP backend, with MySQL databases, API authentication (OAuth/Passport), and integrations such as QuickBooks and Twilio. The platform is deployed via AWS infrastructure with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
The incumbent is expected to quickly understand complex operational workflows, ensure system reliability, and deliver pragmatic, scalable improvements that enhance performance, usability, and business efficiency, without overengineering.
What you will be responsible for:
Development & Feature Delivery
Build and enhance features across the Angular frontend and Laravel backend APIs
Translate business requirements into functional, scalable solutions in collaboration with product and operations stakeholders
System Ownership & Maintenance
Maintain and continuously improve core operational workflows, including dispatch, invoicing, reporting, and operations management
Diagnose and resolve production issues across the full stack
Code Quality & Technical Debt Management
Refactor legacy code in a controlled, incremental manner to improve maintainability and performance
Ensure changes are pragmatic and aligned with long-term system stability
Integrations & Platform Ecosystem
Support and maintain third-party integrations, including accounting systems, messaging platforms, and document/report generation tools
Reliability & Engineering Excellence
Improve system reliability, deployment safety, and overall developer workflow
Contribute to better practices in CI/CD, testing, and release management

What we need from you:
Strong experience building and maintaining production web applications
Solid hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel
Solid hands-on experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and Angular
Experience working in mature or legacy codebases with real business complexity
Experience with APIs, auth flows, and external integrations
Experience with Angular Material (Asset)
Experience with Laravel Passport (Asset)
Experience with AWS, S3, and CI/CD pipelines (Asset
Experience with QuickBooks, Twilio, or similar third-party integrations (Asset)
Experience maintaining internal tools or operational platforms (Asset)
