Senior Full Stack Developer

Netenders is an international e-commerce group based in Barcelona, operating several leading online stores in Europe and North America. As we continue to grow and innovate, we are developing our own cutting-edge e-commerce Content Management System (CMS) to revolutionize the online shopping experience across our brands.

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our in-house tech team.

This is a full-time, on-site position in our Barcelona office. You’ll play a key part in the architecture, optimization, and development of our e-commerce platforms. You won’t lead the team directly, but your technical expertise and experience will be instrumental in guiding and supporting our developers on complex projects.

Your Role:

As a Senior Full Stack Developer at Netenders, you’ll work on long-term, high-impact projects, including:

Redesign, customization, and optimization of our e-commerce websites

Building and maintaining React-based frontends for our e-commerce websites

Development of verticals for different product categories and business units

Improve and expand our internal e-commerce CMS, focusing on:

The purchase order process and supplier integrations

Handling and processing large data volumes efficiently

Building back-office services for product management, pricing, and SEO data

Designing and maintaining clean, scalable APIs and frontend integrations

Support quality assurance by reviewing pull requests from other developers and sharing best practices

Collaborate closely with the Product, IT, Marketing and Design to deliver robust, scalable and user-friendly solutions

About you:

You’re passionate about building scalable, maintainable, and elegant code. You enjoy mentoring others, sharing your knowledge, and continuously improving both your own work and the systems you contribute to.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development, especially in recent Versions (5+), with upgrades from one version to another

3+ years of experience building modern frontend applications with React

Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs

Strong knowledge of software architecture and design patterns across frontend and backend

Proficient in GIT version control and QA processes

Familiarity with Docker containers

Experience in e-commerce implementations or complex backend systems

Experience with frontend performance and accessibility

Nice-to-have skills: mobile development (Hotwire native), ElasticSearch, Memcached or Redis, Google Cloud Platform
