Position Summary:

As a Full-Stack Developer within the ML team, you’ll play a key role in designing and building the software systems that power our AI models — from database and API development to workflow automation and UI integration. You’ll collaborate closely with our ML engineers to connect engineering excellence with cutting-edge medical AI.

Please note: This is an onsite position in Hamburg.

You’ll work on:

• Designing and implementing robust backend services and databases for AI pipelines, model results, and clinical data.

• Developing and maintaining scalable, containerized systems (Docker/Kubernetes) for large-scale image processing and inference.

• Supporting workflow automation and debugging across distributed systems (e.g. Dagster, Argo, Kubeflow).

• Building and extending frontend components for model management and result visualization (React.js or similar).

• Collaborating with ML Scientists and Product Engineers to integrate AI models into production environments.

Your Responsibilities:

• Architect and optimize database systems ensuring high reliability and performance.

• Automate and monitor workflow execution for model training, calibration, and inference.

• Maintain and document scalable CI/CD and deployment pipelines.

• Ensure code quality, reproducibility, and clarity across all development processes.

Your Profile:

• Strong experience in Full-Stack or Backend Development (Python, Django/FastAPI preferred).

• Solid experience in database development (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent).

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Linux environments.

• Bonus: Experience with Machine Learning integration (model APIs, inference pipelines).

• Bonus: Familiarity with MLOps/DevOps tools (DVC, CI/CD, Dagster).

• Bonus: Familiarity with frontend technologies (React.js or similar).

• Strong communication skills, curiosity, and motivation to work in healthcare AI.
